Athlete Development Program

The Athlete Development Program (ADP) was set up in 2016 to provide students who play sport at a representative level with an opportunity to develop their skills, fitness and knowledge through targeted training sessions and workshops. Sessions are aimed at helping our young pre-elite athletes develop a competitive edge in their chosen sports.

The program consists of fitness testing, training sessions and educational workshops. Training sessions will take the form of circuit and plyometric training with an emphasis on the development of core strength, speed, agility, power, coordination and sport specific skills. Workshops will seek to educate athletes about goal setting, sports psychology, sports nutrition, recovery and injury management.

Applications are open to all students in Years 7-10. Those who apply must be currently involved in representative (higher than club or school) sport or have demonstrated an ability to compete at this level.

Applications to become involved in the program can be made via the online form at the bottom of this page. More detailed information relating to the selection criteria and times for training sessions are included in the information pack below. Successful applicants will also be required to fill in the Exercise and Physical Activity Readiness Assessment (ExPARA) form which can be found below.
