Book Week 2016

This week we celebrated Book Week for 2016. Led by Ms Taylor the students participated in a special assembly to celebrate this years Book Week theme; Australia, Story Country.
As always, Ms Taylor prepared a wonderful presentation that took all of the students on a journey through time that celebrated Australian literature, Authors and Illustrators. Notably, students were able to hear about, and celebrate the work of local Illustrator Freya Blackwood.
As always, the OAGS students and parents must be commended for their amazing effort creating so many fabulous costumes to parade! We had a range of Aussie themed costumes including native animals, gumnut babies and even our very own Mulga Bill sporting an ingenious 'Penny Farthing' (great work Mr Cheetham).
Thank you to our wonderful Librarian Ms Karelle Taylor for your passion and commitment to providing the students with amazing literacy focused education and opportunities.
