Better Buddies 2018

One thing is for sure... when you ask both Kindergarten and Year 6 students what their favourite activity of the week is you will find the overwhelming majority will say 'Better Buddies'!

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation's Better Buddies Framework is an initiative designed to create friendly and caring primary school communities where bullying is reduced.

Through Better Buddies, children in their first and last year of primary school buddy up and learn the values: caring for others, friendliness, respect, valuing difference, including others and responsibility.

Here at Orange Anglican Grammar School the Better Buddies program has provided a wonderful opportunity for the primary school 'leaders' to assist the Kindergarten students as they settle in for their first year of formal education. It has been wonderful seeing friendships blossom and confidence increase through the range of activities the buddies enjoy together.
